"Daddy's Home!" is the seventh episode of HFIL.
Tagline[]
Daddy's home from work, and he's got some questions, concerns, and criticisms.
Plot Summary[]
Cell and Raditz get word that King Cold, Freeza's dad, has returned to HFIL for unknown purposes. Raditz takes Cell to his room, showing him a board he made to keep track of all the patrons that came to HFIL. Raditz explained that Cold graduated from the program two years ago and was offered a position of Honorable Atonement Director and Enrichment Specialist due to his above average progress.
Later, Goz and King Cold lead the group in an exercise to have them make a human ladder and cross over a wall. Per Freeza's orders, everyone piles on Raditz so he can cross over the wall. Then, Mez has them make macaroni art of their deepest regrets. During this activity, Freeza gets irritated by King Cold's presence while the latter continues to dot on him.
The next exercise they do is a trust fall as Cell chats with King Cold about his position. Cell finds himself needing to drop to Freeza, only for King Cold to catch the former. King Cold scolds Freeza for not taking this seriously and warns that he will never leave HFIL until then. Freeza storms off back to his house as Recoome drops onto Cell.
In the post-credits scene, Cell goes back home and sees King Cold. Cold apologizes for Freeza's behaviour and admits he could have been a better father, feeling responsible for everyone's death in the first place. Cold tells Cell he wants to get everyone out of HFIL, including the Bio-Android as considers him one of group.
Running Gags and Callbacks[]
- The picture of King Yemma on Raditz's board has "Mahogany?" written on it.
- Raditz mentions the forklift that is used to transport Super Kami Guru.
- Cell shows his hatred for Tenshinhan again.
- King Cold brings up the fact that Freeza wasn't killed by Goku, something that once again annoys Freeza.
- Guldo's wife is mentioned again, and it is implied that Recoome had sex with her.
- Cell confirms Freeza's previous statement that he smells like patchouli.

Trivia[]
- The episode pokes fun of the name theming for some of the villains of DragonBall. These include:
- King Cold and Freeza's named after refrigeration systems.
- Raditz named after a vegetable. Cell even called him Radish at one point.
- Raditz' board features all the recurring characters in the series. Nappa is also shown on the board with question marks written across it, as by this time he had already (inadventantly) wished back to life via the Dragon Balls. The board also has a photo of cans of Cherry Shasta pinned on it for unknown reasons.
- Raditz's old Freeza Force armor can be seen in the background while in his room. It still has the hole from where Raditz was killed by the Makankosappo. This is an inconsistency, as Raditz was shown wearing the armor fully intact during his escape attempt on Snake Way back in Sharing Circles of Hell, and again when he's seen in a photo with Nappa in O Captain! My Captain!.
- The acronym for King Cold's position spells HADES. Hades is the Greek God of the dead and king of the underworld.
- It's outright shown Goz and Mez are highly incompetent at EVERYTHING they're put in charge of. King Cold noted that they were supposed to do a macrame class, but the dimwits used macaroni, which Mez believes is the same thing.
