Dragon ShortZ is a spin-off series created by Team Four Star set in the DragonBall Z Abridged universe. Unlike the main series, which is mainly comprised of footage from the original Dragon Ball Z anime, Dragon ShortZ features all-new CG animation for the episodes. Dragon ShortZ was originally meant to serve as a bridge connecting the Cell Saga with the Majin Buu Saga, however, as of February 1, 2020 this was no longer the case following the cancellation of DragonBall Z Abridged season 4.
After 5 episodes, the series is currently on hiatus due to problems with the lead animator's computer.
However, on February 10th, 2024, TeamFourStar brought back Dragon ShortZ with its latest episode, Three's A Crowd, meaning that they're once again letting Dragon Shortz serve as a bridge connecting the Cell Saga with the Majin Buu Saga, considering that they made Buu Shorts.
