Superman is character from DBZ Abridged.
In DBZ Abridged[]
Superman was first seen with the rest of the Justice League in meeting at the Hall of Justice about the coming of the Saiyans. He asked Batman about a plan until Aquaman suggested an Army of Whales, Superman later disapproves of his notion.
Superman would later be featured in Screw Attack's Death Battle series in a fight against Goku.

- In Dragon Ball Z Abridged, he is voiced by Hbi2k. While in Death Battle, he is voiced by ItsJustSomeRandomGuy.
- Superman served as an Inspiration for much of Akira Toriyama's works.
- In Dr. Slump, the character Sourman is a Direct Reference to Superman, Examples include Sourman's Cilvian Identity, Kenta Kuraaku is a play on Clark Kent, Superman's Civlian Identity and Sourman worked at the Penguin News Network where like Superman, he works at the Daily Planet.
- The Planet Namek as well the Namekian race were named after from the character Nam-Ek, who debuted in Superman #282 (December, 1974).
- Since Dragon Ball's Introduction in the United States, Superman has often compared to Goku for a couple of Similarities.
- Both were sent to Earth as Infants, while a difference is Goku's mission was to conquer the planet and Superman's mission to save lives, and the core of their character in each series as well being raised by Humans
- Both were once believed they were the last of their kind after their home planets were destroyed (I.E. Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz in DBZ & Supergirl, Zod, Faora in Superman)
- The John Williams Superman theme that was played in the 1978 Richard Donner film was used in DragonBall Z Abridged Movie: Lord Slug during which Bulma used Oolong to trick Lord Slug's Army that he is Earth's Protector.
- In DragonBall Z Abridged Special: Bardock: Father of Goku, Grandpa Gohan named the infant Goku, Clark as a reference to Clark Kent after finding him crying after his Saiyan Pod was crashed.
- In Part 2 of The Punchline, Vegeta, in his Great Ape Form name-drops Christopher Reeve, the actor who portrayed Superman in the movies to Goku asking him what's the opposite of Christopher Walken.
- This was a reference to Reeve himself as he was paralyzed from the neck down in 1995 after a horseback riding accident.
- He is a Founding Member of the Justice League of America with Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter & Cyborg.
