Yajirobe (ヤジロベー) is a ronin and one of the lesser known Dragon Team members. He has known Goku since the King Piccolo arc.

In an alternate timeline, he managed to drink a good chunk of the Super God Water instead of just a drop and gained motivation, inspiration, and dedication to continue his training, becoming much stronger and overcoming his laziness (despite losing to Shen (Kami in disguise) in the preliminaries of the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament).

In the anime[]

Yajirobe is at times shown to be anti-social, usually acting rude towards people and sometimes characterised as a coward. He enjoys eating large amounts of food, fishing, hunting, and afternoon naps. He is seen once episode 94 of dragon ball super training with Korin and Taking an eclectric shock from master Roshi.

The only person Yajirobe has shown romantic interest in is Maron from the Garlic Jr. arc. On some occasions, he helps the Dragon Team by delivering Senzu Beans.

In DragonBall Z Abridged[]

Yajirobe is roughly the same as he was in the anime, lazy, avoiding fights and left behind as the Saiyans get stronger. His relation with Korin is treated more like they're a married couple, even saying once that he "loves" him, and admitting that Korin feeds off of him. During the Android saga he is much ruder towards people threatening to eat baby Trunks and raiding Dr. Briefs' fridge. In spite of his somewhat rude and gluttonous nature, he does indeed have a soft spot when it comes to Korin, whom he has shown his genuine love to, and eventually married in the days leading up to the Cell Games. Korin apparently has been desiring to start a family and had urged Yajirobe to agree, though the swordsman is unsure if he is ready for kids yet.

  • Yajirobe, is voiced by series director and editor KaiserNeko, who is also homosexual and married.
    • KaiserNeko also voices his eventual husband, Korin.
  • According to Goku in the original manga and Japanese dub of the anime, Yajirobe sounds exactly like Krillin. This is because Toriyama created Yajirobe so that Krillin's Japanese voice actress Mayumi Tanaka would still voice a Dragon Ball character since Krillin at the time was killed by Tamborine.
    • This is reffered in the anime animations of Ultimate Tenkaichi, as Sonny Strait voices Yajirobe in that game
